My favorites of 2011

The year 2011 brought many memories that molded me, taught me, changed me. I wanted to share a few photos that depicted these moments. I lived a while in India, I shot a few weddings, I got engaged, shot another wedding, all in all it was a year full and wonderful. I hope you enjoy a few photos that tell the story of 2011 for me.

The smile of a happy mom

Meet Nikki. Soon to be momma Nikki to baby Zoe. A few weekends ago I took these of Nikki and baby Zoe, and it was just precious listening and seeing Nikki talk about her and her hubby's baby that will be here before they know it. Congrats to Zach and Nikki. You guys are going to be great parents with a beautiful baby girl!

the cutest family around.

This is Matt and Stacey. Let me do a little throwback preface here. Stacey used to babysit me when I was a teeny little baby. Can you believe it? When my brother and I were hellions. Yep. This girl put up with us! In fact, when her and her hilarious make you fall on the floor laughing husband Matt came to my house to get some photos of them and their precious kiddo, Harris, we started telling stories about the good ole' days like when my brother took a baseball bat to a wall in our house when he was a little hellion. HAHA. She was a pretty brave babysitter. Getting to spend time with Matt and Stacey and see little Harris all grown up like a big 16-month-boy was such a blast, and not to mention, they might be the cutest family you've ever seen.

Enjoy!

The Akiki Family

I drove up to the middle of the state to meet up with this sweet family who I haven't seen in a few years, and little did I know what a great time I would have not only taking their photos, but catching up on life and seeing the new little ones I hadn't met yet. Once I arrived, Jon and Chasity suggested we take a short hike to an area on their land to take the photos, so we all bundled up and headed out. It was such a sweet time visiting, seeing them, and getting to capture their precious kids, who were such little troopers in the cold! Grab a cup of something hot and enjoy these wintery photos :)
