My favorites of 2011

The year 2011 brought many memories that molded me, taught me, changed me. I wanted to share a few photos that depicted these moments. I lived a while in India, I shot a few weddings, I got engaged, shot another wedding, all in all it was a year full and wonderful. I hope you enjoy a few photos that tell the story of 2011 for me.

too much arkansas fun.

So, this past week I got engaged! what?! yep, sure did! you should read the crazy story. it's pretty dang crazy. but awesome at the same time. anyhow, after getting engaged, my fiance (i always like to pronounce it with a french accent emphasizing the "eeeeaawwnncaayyy" part. try it yourself. it sounds so much better, doesn't it?) whisked me off to arkansas (which is naturally the most romantic place on earth, right?) where we pretty much celebrated with each other and his family (which is now my family, too!) and the fish they caught. it really was the most wonderful time ever. i wanted to share this video below because i think it's kind of cool and because i'm trying some new things out. feel free to let me know what you think!

Tennessee River Run

This week, my family is taking time off from work and school to escape to the river. We have a little cabin southwest of Nashville, Tn, and it worked out that we could all come together this week to have a little fun r&r time. One of the greatest parts about this is that a dear friend of ours from Norway is visiting. Tina was a part of our family for a year when she was a foreign exchange student back in 2005, so it is so fun to have her back with us! This weekend, we did the typical river rat scene, and I brought my camera along. We, relaxed on the boat, drank margaritas, and tubed until our hands and bodies hurt. If you were cooped up inside this weekend, hopefully these photos will make you feel like you were out on the river with us :)

a little behind.

A while back, I posted this photo below.

Well, I also said in that post that I would be putting more photos up soon from my last week in India. I was able to go to Delhi and see all the great sites there, and because of all the other photos I've been busy with since being home, I haven't had the chance to finally sort through them and put them up! Well, for all of you guys out there anxiously waiting to see them, here they are. If you're reading this and thinking, "umm, I didn't even know you went to India", haha, it's okay. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these, and just FYI, all of these prints are available for sale. Just shoot me an email at hayeska90@yahoo.com if you're interested!
